Green Waste Facility Open

Please Note: Due to COVID-19, staff will not be able to assist with unloading debris
The City of Lowell maintains a green waste drop-off facility at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at 240 South Moss Street. The facility is open the last Saturday of every month from 10:00-12:00. Residents may drop off acceptable materials at no charge. Proof of residency is required, and may be confirmed with a recent water, electric, cable or telephone utility bill.
Acceptable Materials:
- Tree limbs
- Leaves
- Soft, pliable vines
- Twigs, branches, and woody vines up to 6” diameter and 10’ long
- Similar garden waste
Unacceptable Materials:
- Dirt or sod waste
- Animal waste
- Garden products
- Logs or lumber
- Stumps or stump grindings
- Material from contractors or commercial firms
