Green Waste Facility Open

The City of Lowell maintains a green waste drop-off facility at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at 240 South Moss Street. The facility is open the last Saturday of every month. Residents may drop off acceptable materials at no charge. Proof of residency is required, and may be confirmed with a recent water, electric, cable or telephone utility bill.
Acceptable Materials:
- Tree limbs
- Leaves
- Soft, pliable vines
- Twigs, branches, and woody vines up to 6” diameter and 10’ long
- Similar garden waste
Unacceptable Materials:
- Dirt or sod waste
- Animal waste
- Garden products
- Logs or lumber
- Stumps or stump grindings
- Material from contractors or commercial firms
