library

When will programs start?

We are looking forward to hosting a wide variety of programs and classes in the Library. There will be story times, educational lectures and group activities for all ages.

We hope to begin story hour and a needle work group in in February.

When can I get my library card? Will I need a new one?

Everyone will need to get a new library card to check out books or use the download library. The new cards come in two parts a regular wallet size card and a key chain fob.

Please bring identification including a picture ID and something showing your current address.

Will I be able to download e-books and Audio books?

The library has subscribed to a statewide download library. The subscription is on an annual basis and will begin in late January.

Can I donate books to the library before it opens?

The donations we have received from the community have been a blessing as we strive to build our new collection.

If you have books to donate, bring them to the library. Peggy O'Kane, the Library Director, will examine books to see if we need them. We do not return books once they have been donated even if we do not choose to add them to the collection.

The Library will not accept donations of Readers Digest Condensed books, multi volume encyclopedias or text books.

Will the library be open on weekends or in the evening?

While the exact hours for the new library have not been set we do plan to be open on Saturdays from 9:00 am-1:00 pm.

The library will be open to 7:00 pm at least one day each week.

When will the library open?

The Maggie Osgood Library is open with irregular hours for the rest of January 2023. General times are 9-1 Monday-Thursday but they are subject to change
