Annual Lowell City Wide Beautification Day

Saturday, May 6, from 9:00am-12:00pm
The Annual Lowell Beautification Day has returned. This year’s event will include the parks cleanup, containers for residents to dispose of household items and yard waste ( see acceptable materials below ).
Volunteers are asked to wear work clothes and gloves. Juice, coffee and snacks will be provided in the morning and lunch will be served at the end of the event.
Acceptable Materials Unacceptable Materials
*Plastics (i.e lawn chairs, toys) *Household garbage
*Recyclable bottles and cans *Construction or commercial waste
*Cardboard *Fluorescent Lights
*Scrap Metal *Alkaline batteries
*Furniture *Household chemicals
*Bagged Clothing *Computers, monitors, and TVs
*Ink cartridges (no cracks or leaks) *Dirt or sod waste
*Clean appliances *Animal waste
*Tires (limit of 4, no larger than 17 in.) *Herbicides, fertilizers, or insecticides
*Small electronics *Treated Logs or lumber
*Yard debris, including tree limbs (less than 6” *Stumps or stump grindings
Diameter and 10” in length, leaves, and similar
