Lane County Waste Management
Lane County Waste Management Division is accepting applications for Extra Help Fee Collectors at Glenwood Transfer Station. This position is on-call and cannot work more than 520 hours in a fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). Must be 18 years of age or over. Typical training is 20-40 hours for two weeks, then on-call as needed (we may call you on any day, but Saturdays are most needed as all of our sites are open). Cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Calculates fees in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Collects fees and issues receipts
- Operates POS system and credit card terminals, adding machine and other office equipment
- Accounts for fees collected or charged according to established policies and procedures
- Prepares and makes bank deposits as required
- Provides information and assistance to the public
- Maintains inventory, orders and delivers supplies necessary for the collection of fees
- Maintains work area by keeping fee booth clean
