Public information session on Lookout Point dam drawdown

The City Council will hold a public information session on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 6:00 pm. The meeting location will be the Lowell Fire Department at 389 N. Pioneer Street.

The purpose of the public information session is to share information on the Lookout Point dam drawdown. At the session, representatives of the US Army Corps of Engineers will provide an overview of why the dam drawdown is occurring. Also at the session, city representatives will share information on how the dam drawdown has affected city drinking water. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions. The goal is to educate the public on why the dam drawdown is occurring, the long-term outlook for the dam drawdown, and the steps that the city is taking to ensure the safety of the city's drinking water.
