Board and Committee Vacancies

On Tuesday, March 20, the Lowell City Council approved two special committees, a Downtown Master Plan Steering Committee and a Parks and Recreation Master Plan Steering Committee. These committees will meet approximately five (5) times over the next twelve (12) months to facilitate the development of each respective plan.

Downtown Master Plan Steering Committee

  • Consists of the five (5) member Economic Development Committee, one (1) member of the Planning Commission, one (1) member of the Parks and Recreation Committee, and two (2) at-large (resident or nonresident) positions.
  • Committee will work with a consultant to solicit public input, review materials, and make recommendations for the development of streetscape plans and planning for housing, economic development, public facilities and infrastructure in downtown Lowell.

Parks and Recreation Master Plan Steering Committee

  • Consists of the five (5) member Parks and Recreation Committee, one (1) member of the Planning Commission, one (1) member of the Economic Development Committee, and two (2) at-large (resident or nonresident) positions.
  • Committee will work with a consultant to solicit public input, review materials, and make recommendations for the development of parks and recreation facilities, programs, and policies.

All interested residents and non-residents (as applicable) are encouraged to apply. Applications may be picked up at City Hall or downloaded online. The City is also still accepting applications for the Budget Committee, Planning Commission, and Blackberry Jam Festival Committee. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
